Week 1 Updates!

Hey Hey Hey!!

Week 1 is almost over and we are rollin' right along. I have attached a video for your viewing pleasure courtesy of our friends at ATK. This is of the Mystery Event which was "Build a Boat". It was our first time doing the Build a Boat Event and it rocked. We just might have to add it as a regular event next year.

The Eagle Has Landed!

Woohoo! The games have officially begun! We had a great turnout on Saturday for the 5K, Wellness Walk and the Tent Event. All the tents were awesome and everyone had a great time. Thank you for spending your Saturday morning with us!

Our Coordinators Meeting was last night and we had a great turnout. We appreciate the time you are all taking to spearhead this for your companies. The games are close and we hope that everyone is getting excited. Please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions.

GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!

We're all about soccer today. Our soccer tournament will be played August 6th, 7th, 13th, 14th, 20th and 21st. We will be playing in the University of Utah Field House. One of the main rules that the Field House would like us to relay is that they do not allow anything but water in the facility. I repeat, WATER ONLY!!!!! Okay, now that little tid bit is out of the way we can move on to some rules of the game.
Co-Ed is 7 on 7 and must have 3 men and 3 women on the field while the goalkeeper may be either male or female creating the 7th player. A minimum of 5 players must be present to play or the game will be declared a forfeit.
Equipment and Uniform: a molded cleat or athletic shoe must be worn to play. Shin guards are recommended, but not required. All players must either wear their team shirt or a shirt of the color.

Answer to Ultimate Question

Hey!

Here's an answer to a question posted by one of our followers. "The calendar shows as a tournament over 5 days. However, the instructions shows that it's a one day double elimation tournament. Do we know the times for this?"

Ulitimate will be played in a double elimination tournament format in the evenings. We could use up to five evenings which will be determined by how many teams sign up. Schedules will be made after registration is closed.

As we celebrate our nation's independence this weekend I think we should also celebrate the great pastime of Miniature Golf. Although it did not originate here in the U.S. it has become one of our great family summer activities.

Miniature Golf has for some, gone beyond a fun night out with family and friends and become a seriously competitive sport. "Each October the world's best professional miniature golfers convene in Myrtle Beach to compete for the game’s most coveted title. Our Miniature Golf tournament will be played over 3 days August 4th, 5th, and 6th. Get your teams ready and hit your favorite mini-golf course to practice!
